Palm Beach County Questions and Conservation

  • Palm Beach County Parks QuestionI'm torn because this raises our taxes for parks and recreational facilities we need. But without a specified project list, I worry sports arenas could take priority over nature. We would have to trust our elected officials. I haven't made a yes-or-no recommendation.I'm torn
  • Palm Beach County School District QuestionVote YES
  • Palm Beach County Soil and Water Conservation District, Group 3I'm not really excited about any of these candidates, since none is a match for our stance. In my assessment, Douglas Brown has the strongest environmental platform, but according to my research his campaign site states that he supports President Trump. Read about all three candidates, do your own research and vote with your heart.Read the candidate articleNo endorsement

Amendments

  • Amendment 1: Budget Stabilization Fund changesVote NO
  • Amendment 2: Property tax exemption for agriculture and agritourism equipmentVote NO
  • Amendment 3: Homestead exemptions, assessments and spending limitsVote NO

A note from Suzanne

Judges must earn it!

A lot of people skip the judges or simply vote yes to retain them all. Not this year. We aren't giving anyone automatic merit retention. They must earn it! Read up on each judge, make your own decision, and don't leave this part of your ballot blank.

The retention votes below are for the Florida Supreme Court and district courts of appeal. Circuit and county court races are listed separately. If a judge is not retained, the governor appoints a replacement.
